What are we looking at here?

This is a photo from the set of vacation photos that I took during a stay at my friend Taylor's lake house. This is one of my friends flipping the tube on the back of the boat while my other friends look on.

How does this old photo make you feel?

It makes me nostalgic for the time where my friends and I were either in college or just out - with less responsibilities and more opportunities to get together to take road trips or spend the summers however we wanted.

Is this what you expected to see?

I thought that there were some pictures from this specific trip on the roll I submitted, but I was excited to see that I was able to capture a clear action shot that tells a small story within the final image.

What kind of memories does this photo bring back?

I have great memories of the trip, similar trips I've taken over the years, and that summer in general. For a while we used to go up most summer to my friend's lake house and this set definitely brings back memories of taking the boat out to the middle of the lake and just spending the day anchored while we swam in the water, drank some and had fun.

How do you think others will respond to this photo?

I picked this photo out of all others in the set because you can't see anyone's faces, and it more focuses on the moment and general feelings of spending time on the lake in the summer, rather that being just a vacation photo. Hopefully it will bring back someone's similar memories of good times spent with their friends on vacation or make them curious about the subjects of the photo.
