Second-growth hardwood forest and riding trails with 2 riders on horseback.
5. How does this old photo make you feel?
This image captures a feeling of serenity. I can feel the warmth of the sun filtering through the leaves of the trees, and the refreshing shade the trees offer. I can hear the silence, punctuated by birdsong and slow hoofbeats.
6. Is this what you expected to see?
I had forgotten about this image. Truthfully, that day was marred by the half-dozen ticks I found crawling up my legs. I fled the park and didn't return for several years.
7. Does this photo bring back any memories?
This photo shows me evidence of a calm and peaceful day, contradicting my own memory of being besieged by blood-sucking ticks. Sometimes we focus on one detail or moment and loose sight of other equally strong moments.

The majesty of the trees and the mild weather is clear, transmitting a feeling of tranquility, punctuated by the two riders on horseback, sauntering slowly down the trail. It will evoke a serene connection in viewers, who will be able to step into the image and, hence, the moment.
