Manhattan Advertising Agencies had a summer softball league. Agency rivalries could be battled out on the field as well as on the page. The agency I was working for was TLK - Tatham, Laird & Kushner, a direct marketing agency. Back then, advertising included mailings, coupon ads and Sunday circulars (RCA Music Club).
