A folkloric/vodou band performing at a symposium of scholars of vodou-KOSANBA.

5. How does this old photo make you feel?

It was such a pleasant surprise to find a roll of documentation of this conference, which I attended only for a day. I'm very interested in who these musicians are, and where are they now.

6. Is this what you expected to see?

This roll was just a delight to find.

7. What kind of memories does this photo bring back?

I knew so little of Haitian folk traditions when I attended that conference. Little by little I have gleaned experience and knowledge of some of the practices, but then I was pretty uneducated.

8. How do you think others will respond to this photo?

Others will love this photo.
