How does this old photo make you feel?
it gives me a warm at-home feeling. a good portion of the people in this photo are gone so to see their faces again brings me back to when I was a kid, smothered with love by my grandparents and aunts/uncles.
Is this what you expected to see?
In a way yeah, I expected that these older rolls would have photos of my grandparents in them. I wasn't expecting them to be of my birthday.
What kind of memories does this photo bring back?
it brings back good memories. My definition of family has been changing over the last few years and this reminds me of what it used to be, but also how much more fractured it feels now. Especially with the people who have passed away appearing altogether in this photo.
How do you think others will respond to this photo?
I showed the photo to my mom who was the one who captured it. She was overjoyed, tears in her eyes.
