What are we looking at here?

A lake in Maine where we spent a week one summer. I was using a waterproof camera and it leaked, and damaged the film. (which looks quite amazing on the rest of the roll) This looks like it was my niece taking a selfie with it.

How does this old photo make you feel?

Well, in the end it's not THAT old but it makes me feel happy. That was a great week spent with family. And I LOVE this photo, damaged and all - her smile makes me smile.

Is this what you expected to see?

Yes - I never processed these rolls because I knew they were damaged, I'm surprised that most of the film came out but even more surprised & excited by the way the damaged film looks.

What kind of memories does this photo bring back?

Happy ones, relaxing ones... I wish I was there right now!

How do you think others will respond to this photo?

Not really sure, seems like just a damaged film snapshot. But the damage almost enhances the feeling of it being a memory, like it's slowly washing away.
