1. When was this photo taken?
2. Where was this photo taken?
3. Who took this photo?
4. What are we looking at here?
My friend is playing with my son (and possibly singing him fantastic French songs or rhymes) near the end of the day, giving me a much needed break from wearing him.
5. How does this old photo make you feel?
It makes me smile and evokes a nostalgia for both my son as a baby, and the close relationship my friend and I had. I had a very lonely early parenting experience with my firstborn and my friend gave me a lot of support in the form of a close friendship when I had my son.
6. Is this what you expected to see?
No, as I'd forgotten that I'd brought my film camera to Lincoln.
7. What kind of memories does this photo bring back?
It evokes memories of the trip -- climbing the massively steep hill, walking around town trying to find something for dinner, my daughter being terribly excited about the hotel room. I'm also fondly remembering many of the other day trips we took around the same time, a rarity now for some reason.
8. How do you think others will respond to this photo?
I'm not sure. Perhaps they might see it a mere image of a woman and a baby and write it off as unspectacular. Perhaps some of the more sentimentally-inclined might like the image for the fact that it's a woman with a baby. Who knows?
