1. When was this photo taken?
2. Where was this photo taken?
Lacock Abbey, Lacock, England
3. Who took this photo?
Harrison D. Walker
4. What are we looking at here?
This is an interior view of the Lacock Abbey, William Henry Fox Talbot's home and place where he did his experiments in the initial photographic processes.
5. How does this old photo make you feel?
It makes we want to go back to this magical village and landscape. It is a unique place that looks and feels like it is still the 19th Century.
6. Is this what you expected to see?
I took these photos with a simple brownie camera, with only a shutter that flicked at a single speed. This image in particular is a double exposure, thus I had very little clue as to what these images would actually look like.
7. Does this photo bring back any memories?
Yes! This was my first trip out of the States. I am interested in the history of photography and historic processes and this was a dream come true to finally go to this place in the world.
8. How do you think others will respond to this photo?
I think others will be intrigued by the multiple exposure and also be intrigued by the architecture and empty space. It is mysterious and somewhat ominous.
